KAREN RADLEY CHATS TO TREBARRABI DESIGNER CINZIA

Karen Radley chats to TreBarraBi designer Cinzia about her town Bergamo for our latest “My Neighbourhood ” Interviews

Tell me about your fashion background:

I have started working in fashion as Designer since young age. Through the years I have worked with many important brands supporting the design and product research, then I decided to develop a brand that could truly represent me

Favourite neighbourhood in Bergamo:

As much as I love Bergamo because is small and livable, I prefer the mountains and the green spaces that surround the city.

Favourite place for brunch:

My home.

Best coffee in Bergamo:

La Pasqualina, which is a historic pastry bar (it is over 100 years old) with its own vegetable garden, where they grow the raw materials for their products, and where you can enjoy a coffee, lunch or ice cream in a quiet atmosphere but at the same time full of pleasure for the taste

Favourite gallery or museum:

I love everything that is art, music and theater.

Tell us a secret:

I don’t have secrets.

Favourite place to shop:

I don’t have a favourite place. I follow my feelings.

Favourite place to find inspiration:

not in city centres, but in the nature.

Best Bergamo destination for a date:

Bergamo Alta (Bergamo upper city) which is the historic centre of Bergamo and that has remained completely surrounded by walls built in XVI century. It’s a romantic place with many nice restaurants and a characteristic landscape and view, so it’s almost perfect for a first date.

Favourite park:

I don’t have a favourite park. I have Orobie Alps as a neighbourhood park.

Favourite food market:

Local farmhouses

Your sanctuary in your neighbourhood:

San Tomè abbey, which is a little circular church building in Romanesque style with very nice sculptures of XII century.

What inspires you?

The colours of the nature.

Tell us about the TreBarraBi collection for FW24:

For the FW24 collection I was inspired by the landscapes of Normandy, as a mix of countryside and power of the sea. The colours I used are mostly greens and sandy hues that recall the colours of the sea and the interior.
