Tell me about Vannes: A small town next to the ocean with wonderful golden light. We live here because someone told us it is a beautiful place.  And that’s true!

Fashion background: Only my own line, with my partner and lover Fabien Desportes. We started the business together when we were students  - making our own collection.

Why did you launch Gallego Desportes: Being students, we worked hard night and day, because we were so happy to study fashion!  In fact, we created clothing which, when featured in Elle Magazine, clients rang the school bell asking to buy them! We had our first clients! And we never stopped.

Your first fashion memory: The satin ribbon around my blanket when I was a young child. It was so soft and compact.

Heels or flats:  Flats, unfortunately!

Vintage or new: Now new. But it was vintage for a long time. Just for the emotions taken from the fabrics.

Style icon:   From life. I am always impressed by independent strong women able to lead their own lives, make choices, changes…. this way of life always gives a style to people.

Who inspires you: Yves St Laurent. I loved his choice of colours. Ancient baby clothes - their make and the clever way they are conceived. Images of the US during the 1929 financial crisis, showing how people were dressed at the time.

Museum or art gallery: Museé d’Orsay. To be able to see in real life a Renoir painting. This is impossible to find in a book and the view of Paris is amazing.

Crepe or Croissant: Oh Croissant, but ordinaire. We find only in Paris.

Best business tip:         Being yourself and fair.

Favourite piece in the Gallego Desportes collection:
Brigitte Shirt        Good mix of feminine and masculine.
New sweater       Very soft knit with wonderful details.
Kotchy pants       Everybody wants a pair. Sounds like a good item.

Favourite song:  Just the Two Of Us.
