Your first fashion memories: My first fashion memory is my grandmother. She had this incredible sense of exuberance mixing prints, colours and jewellery without ever questioning herself. I can still picture her oversized rings, her multicoloured nails and her unapologetic approach to dressing. Looking back, she was probably the first person who taught me that style is about personality long before it is about clothes.
Your style in three words: Graphic, eclectic and playful.
Who inspires you: I’m very inspired by Mediterranean women. There’s something incredibly powerful about the way they embrace colour, femininity and self expression. Their style feels instinctive rather than calculated, elegant, vibrant and full of personality. That self assured energy resonates deeply with the spirit of Casbah Love.
Vintage or new: Both. I’ve always been fascinated by the space where nostalgia meets innovation. Vintage brings soul and history, while the new brings energy and possibility. I’m especially inspired by aesthetics that blend nostalgia with modernity, creating something both familiar and unexpected. That dialogue between past and future is at the heart of my aesthetic.
Style icon: Leandra Medine Cohen. I love her unconventional approach to fashion and her ability to make style feel both intelligent and fun. She embraces individuality in a way that feels effortless, which I find incredibly inspiring.
Best coffee in Paris: Viahé Café in the 11th arrondissement. It reminds me of the vibrant café culture of Vietnam, which is very close to my heart through my husband’s family. I love the sense of community there, people sitting for hours, sharing stories over coffee. And their egg coffee is simply unbeatable.
Secret Address: Majouja. I love this little Algerian canteen in Paris run by an incredible Algerian mama. The food is simple, generous and full of flavour. As someone with Tunisian and Italian roots, it feels like a madeleine de Proust, the dishes instantly bring back memories of family meals and my mother’s cooking. It’s one of those places that feels both comforting and special.
Favourite piece or pieces in the next Casbah Love collection: My favourite piece has to be our vintage denim jacket. It features the oversized silhouette I love from the 80s and 90s, reimagined with a beautiful vintage embroidery and long beaded fringes. It’s bold, playful and full of personality, everything Casbah Love stands for. I’m also very fond of a sculptural maxi dress from the Solar Mirage story, whose dramatic volume makes it one of the strongest statements of the collection. And finally, there’s a summer jacket with shell buttons and fringed sleeves that brings a sense of freedom, humour and unexpected charm.
Your favourite song: Man I Need by Olivia Dean. I’ve had it on repeat lately. There’s something both uplifting and effortless about it, and it always puts me in a good mood
