The Spring/Summer 24 edition of the UK’s premium contemporary fashion and lifestyle trade show, Scoop, enjoyed a stellar first day after opening its doors at Olympia West today. Exuberant buyers from leading luxury retailers including McElhinneys, Annas, Katherine Draisey, Applause, Courtyard, 32 The Guild, Cordelia James, Sister, Moda Rosa, Lulu & M and many more flocked to the show to discover the exclusively curated edit of over 250 contemporary designers.
Scoop Founder, Karen Radley invited guests to ‘Uncover The Exceptional’. Arriving at Olympia West visitors were greeted by the iconic Scoop artwork; a mix of quintessential Britishness and European vintage chic, interspersed with stunning floral displays. Inside, visitors were transported to a Moroccan paradise where walls are adorned with patterned wallpaper, rattan and wooden relaxation areas, large floral displays and lanterns decorating the aisles. Buyers enjoyed drinks at the The Scoop X Wimbledon Cocktail Party and aura readings throughout the day.
Sam Smith from Roxtons said, “The show has been very well curated with a good diversity and mix of brands that were relevant. I’m particularly pleased with a new shoe designer that I have found here.”
Abigail Edmunds from Domino Style said, “It has been a lovely show, as usual we have been thoroughly looked after. The show has been well laid out and the beauty of the entrance is fantastic.”
Tayla Ciel from Nel Studio said, “There are lots of great designers here and you can really see trends in the collections. I loved footwear, sportswear and some of the more premium collections. It is a fantastic show and great variety.”
Commenting on the first day’s success, Scoop founder Karen Radley said, “From the moment the show opened the energy and buzz in the gallery has been incredible. Since I started Scoop, I have always promoted emerging designers and exciting talent and I am thrilled to be showcasing new designers this season such as Marches Rosa, Saint Armont, Agua Bendita and so many more. One area that particularly excites me is lingerie and swim which includes stunning collections from Ralph Lauren, Huit8, Commando, Siamese Dreams, Missoni Beach, Wolford, Promise, Jessica Russell Flint and Pierre Mantoux.”
Designers shared Radley’s positivity and Caroline Edge from Aubade said, “This is the first time I have exhibited at Scoop and it has been a great show so far! I have met the buyers I wanted to and have found the show inspiring and motivating. This is exactly how it should be. As well as seeing the buyers I wanted to see, I have gained a lot of interest from new distribution channels too. Scoop really has a nice vibe and great energy.”
Libby Banks from Seated Queen said, “It has been a lovely first day. Our vegan and natural ingredients really resonate with store owners, and we have had a lot of interest and great conversations. We have a great position right at the front of the show and there has been a great procession of people who we otherwise would not have had the opportunity to meet.”
Gerard Levy from GIL Agencies said, “We have had a good reaction to the collection and there is a great feeling of positivity throughout the show. You must go to the shows, it’s where fashion begins, and you get to see the full picture – And Scoop is the best show! Karen curates it so well and gives it a strong focus.”
Rufus Abbott from Goods Agency said, “It is our first-time doing Scoop, and our focus is to connect with independent retailers, which we have certainly achieved on the opening day!”
